About Freemato
What Freemato is
Freemato is a Pomodoro timer that costs nothing and lives entirely in your browser. There is one page for each interval, each background sound, and each audience, so the timer you land on is already set for the search that brought you here. There is nothing to install and no login.
Who makes it
Freemato is an independent site run by Clinton Munkres. It is one of a small portfolio of free tools, built and maintained by one person rather than a company.
How it is funded
The site is paid for by banner ads and by commission on the Amazon links in the buying guide. As an Amazon Associate, Freemato earns from qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you. Every product in the guide pays the same kind of commission, so none is listed for paying more. Freemato has not tested them, and the guide says so. Both are disclosed on the pages that carry them and on the privacy page.
What it does not do
There are no accounts, and Freemato itself sets no cookies; the banner ads come from Awin, which sets one of its own. Visitors in Europe and the UK see no ads at all. Your timer state, theme, and sound choice stay in your own browser and are never sent to a server. The site does not know who you are, and there is nothing to cancel because there is nothing to sign up for. The privacy page has the full list of what is stored where.
